Bill:(pointing to the Vermont Dept. of Health ad starring children dressed up as doctors and nurses on tv talking about flu prevention measures) See, that's where you should be working, in the Vermont dealie.
Emer:Yeah, but there's no jobs.
Bill:But they're hiring children as doctors! They *must* be desperate!
“Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you’ve got about a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies — God damn it, you’ve got to be kind.”—~ Kurt Vonnegut, God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater (via gatekeeper)
I can’t drink alcohol (well, at least liquor) without having a stomach ache 4 hours later while lying in bed. Feels like I’d just drank ice water - really odd kind of pain. New one, and I’ve had a lot in the past few years.
I think it’s my body forcing me to take it easy on the alcohol (or quit for good?). It’s amazing what your body will do to defend itself against you.
My body has been doing that lately too… sympathy pains? Or maybe it’s a head start on an ulcer! Either way, no pain > pain… and if you can figure out what’s causing it, then all the better!
